Hey there, I’m Jason, and my journey in the culinary world has been quite the ride! It all started back in 1996 when I landed a gig as a wash-up for a corporate brand. Little did I know that job would ignite a passion for food and hospitality that would shape my entire career.
Over the next eight years, I hustled my way up the ranks, eventually becoming an operational chef. Those years were a whirlwind of long hours and hard work, but I loved every minute of it. There’s something magical about creating delicious meals and seeing the joy it brings to people’s faces.
Then came a big break—I stepped into the role of executive chef, where I had the incredible opportunity to oversee the diets of professional cricket players at one end and then also deliver a five-course hospitality event at the other end whilst match play was on. Talk about pressure! But it was an experience like no other, and I thrived on the challenge of delivering top-notch cuisine to elite athletes and their guests.
But I’m not one to rest on my laurels. With a hunger for more, I decided to take the leap and start my own company. And thus, my multi-site pub empire was born. Building that business from the ground up was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From crafting unique menus to fostering a welcoming atmosphere and nurturing future hospitality stars I poured my heart and soul into every aspect of the business.
And you know what? All that hard work paid off. I eventually sold the company and was rewarded for it – a testament to the blood, sweat, and tears I poured into it over the years.
So here I am, still as passionate about food and hospitality as ever. My journey has been a rollercoaster, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m living proof that with a little grit and determination, you can turn your dreams into reality. And hey, if I can do it, so can you!
